i wish to believe that love is not chemical reactions in the brain. i refuse i refuse i refuse i am a romantic and i want the faeries and i want the unicorns and the merlins. There was some debate between playwright Tennessee Williams and director Elia Kazan over the ending of the play, “Cat on a hot tin roof”. In his “Note of Explanation” (124-125), Williams explains that he edited the third act in order to appease the Broadway director.
