In the novel 1984, by George Orwell, Communism has reached its peak in Oceania. The ruling party has complete control over its people in which everything it does is in an effort to maintain the absolute power it possesses over the present, past, and future of its super-continent. “Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past.” This slogan is exactly what The Party has accomplished.
