Is There Really a Perfect Place?
In some people’s eyes, Harrison Bergeron, and “Imagine” were places where the world was perfect. However, they are both very far from being anything close to perfect. In the governments eyes the world was all based on being fair so therefore it was perfect. There are many reasons in both the song and the movie that prove the government to be wrong. One example was Harrison’s life through his eyes. Harrison Bergeron and “Imagine” are not good examples of two worlds where everything was perfect and/or peaceful. One example proving that the song and movie were not perfect was on line 9 of the song. It states, “Nothing to kill or die for.” In the movie Harrison’s parents are not even aware of what really happened to Harrison when he supposedly died.
