The word, non-denomination, means pretty much what it states; no denomination. This means that they have no official affiliation with any particular denomination such as Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, etc. It does not mean that they are against any other denomination. It simply means that their teaching or doctrine is not the official statement of any denominational body, but the Bible. Non-denominational churches grew out by fundamentalist Christians during the last 50 years in America. These groups are characterized by strong pastors (There is no single founder for nondenominational churches. These are independent churches and each one will differ from the other), whose Biblical preaching and charismatic leadership have led to the formation of independent churches with authority in each local congregation. I could see most of people are in middle class by their cars, how they dressed, manner, and way of talking. The church I visited had about 90 percent of a white man with various of an age group, but there are many churches that are mainly African American, while other may be oriental, etc.
