Mrs. Turpin and her husband Claude went to the doctor to see the leg of Claude because he got kicked by a cow, the first appreciation from them is that the place is very little (waiting room). Most of the short story takes place in the doctor office and it ends at the Turpin Farm. The main topic of the short story is the Black segregation. It takes time when the black people where used by white people to work in the cotton farms. Mrs. Turpin who is Main Character is women who felt she was a great person, she was very critical, specially the foots of the people.
