The theme behind 42nd st. is that no matter how much people put you down or how little faith they have in you, you should never give up and always give it your best. Peggy Sawyer was a very shy girl from Pennsylvania and people thought she wasn’t good just because of how she appeared and where she came from. But when she started singing and dancing with all her heart, she just took everyone’s breath away.
