Module A 1) After looking at different definitions I think this one is the best. Management is the process of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the use of resources to accomplish performance goals. Organization is a collection of people working together in a division of labor to achieve a common purpose (Schermerhorn 2002). 2) There are three different levels of management. The highest level of management is the top level. The purpose of the top level of management is to determine the broad objectives and procedures necessary to meet the goals established by the board of directors. The top level consists of presidents, executive vice-presidents, and senior vice-presidents. The second level of management is the middle management. This level is responsible for developing operational plans and procedures to implement the broader ones conceived by the top management.
