ARGUMENTIVE ESSAY: A FATHER’S AGONIZING CHOICE In this particular dilemma, a father has the decision to either be the person to pull the chair out from underneath his son, who is being hanged for trying to escape a concentration camp, or, let the guard pull the chair from underneath his son. If he chooses the guard to pull the chair out from underneath his son, then the guard will randomly pick another person in the camp to die, as well as his son.
