Metamorphosis- Tragic Gregor's life and its tragic outcome became the turning point of the story. Strange chain of events took place throughout the book, which resulted in Gregor "losing" his family. It definitely was a devastating shock to wake up and realize you are no longer human. "…He found himself changed in his bed into a monstrous vermin." (p.3) Just with that drastic change of events Gregor's life turns into a tragedy. In addition to being a vermin Gregor experiences abuse and pain from his parents, "One apple, thrown weakly, grazed Gregor's back and slid off harmlessly.
