Rainmaker The Rainmaker is a movie that takes the viewer on the ride with a lawyer during his first trial. This is not only his first trial, but this is his first experience as a lawyer. Rudy is newly hired into a firm with one of his first cases being a “Rainmaker.” He gets involved with this family he met at a workshop that was held The University of Memphis. He commits to help the family because an insurance company is scamming them. Their policy has been denied on several occasions because the company claims they don’t cover the bone marrow transplant procedure that the young man needs.
