CATEGORICAL TEACHERS
Whether we acknowledge them or not, teachers play an important role in this world. Teachers are lawyers, our doctors, businessmen, and in general, our life. Would life succeed without our loyal teachers? NO! We need teachers; they are essential to us. Depending upon the person, certain teachers alter our lives. Not only certain teachers, but also types of teachers can change the way we view things. These teachers influence people in many different ways and can be placed in different categories of teaching styles. All teachers are here to teach and help the students learn, but the teacher’s style separates him/her from others. Each category of teaching style/attitude have there rises and downfalls, but they will all help in one form or another. The three most influential teachers lie in categories of “The Jokers” who make learning fun, “The Quiet Storms” who seek friendliness and obligate you to pay attention, and “The Drill Sergeants” who become stricter then a boa with its prey. Teachers who use their six-inch voice while teaching may be placed in this category—“The Quiet Storms”. Teachers in that category rarely use there outside voice. “The Quiet Storms” speak gently when explaining information to students. Their soft nature brings calmness to the class. Teachers in this category help soothe the distractions of learner’s block from students. My Algebra teacher Mrs. Pendrop, being in the category of “The Quiet Storms”, taught me to listen and stop excess talking.
