Separation of Church and State is a very controversial topic in the society that we live in today. The idea that religion and government should not intervene is held in high regards by many people. However, the separation of these two institutions has its advantages. There are many recent occurrences that can help support this view point. One of the latest cases of the sort is the law suit in Alabama over the Ten Commandments being removed from public view.
