The future of the United States remains in the hands of education and education only. Ever since the colonial times the United States has had a strong commitment to education. From its founding in the 19th century, free public schooling has embraced generation after generation of immigrants. Not only providing them with skills and knowledge but also teaching them the US Constitution and the principles they were found upon. This is what makes our country great; our strong educational values. By my becoming a teacher when I get older, I can continue to educate children to make a difference in this world since they are the future. Although public education has changed a lot for the better, there is still much more to do to fulfill the American promise on equal opportunities for the children of different backgrounds. The United States has become a stronger country and will continue to work with other nations to educate citizens throughout the world.
