Upon observing the various mode of behavior exhibited by various infants and toddlers, one is inclined to notice that while some infants are easy going, some infants display aloof personalities at such a tender age. Researchers believe that how easily an infant becomes attached depends on both the infant and the adults around her. Caregivers and most especially parents will be the basis upon which an infant will develop secure attachment. Secure attachment can be developed within an infant when caregivers are sensitive and responsive to their needs. The infant needs to be secure that the parent or caretaker can be counted on to meet their needs.
