The time in which Christopher Columbus set sail for North America and the many other European voyages of discovery that took place between 1487 and 1780 is known as the European age of exploration. During this, Europe was to undergo profound changes while altering the history of diverse people worldwide. Fate, faith and fortune played a significant role throughout all of this and the events leading from this was to shape our world into what it is today. Fate's role in this era is present dating from Christopher Columbus voyage which indirectly led him to discover the continent of North America.
