Poem Analysis In Lake Isle of Innisfree, the author becomes inspired to write the poem while walking down a street. The sound of a water fountain captures his attention, and he begins to drift of in a daydream. In this poem the author uses many literary devices to show that this is a place that he would much rather be. In the poem he describes this location (where he has been in the past) by using a lot of imagery, so that his point can reach the reader.
