Kerala is one out of the 25 states of India, at the Southern end of the Penisula. About 400 miles long and 100 miles wide. Eastern side is the Ghats and at the West the Arabian Sea. Land is abundant in forest, paddy fields, spices fields, Rubber estates, Rivers, Lakes and ponds, lagoons and above all Coconut trees. Name Kerala EkrLM has derived from from KERAM EkrM (coconut) ie Land of Coconuts. We speak a Language Malayalam and thus we are also called as MALAYALEES mlyaLi. Malayalees are seen at every nuke and corner of the World. India is a collection of states like USA, but it more resembles Europe – in its diversity. Diversity of Language, culture, traditions and the people. When you take the index of development, Kerala is at forefront with any developed Nation (Like Birth rate, Death rate, Infant mortality, Life expectancy and Literacy rate).
