Who would allow their daughter to dress up and put lots of make up on at the age of six? The Ramsey’s let JonBenét do it. Many say that JonBenét looked like she was 17 years old and was flashing her body for all to see. As you may know, many people attend beauty pageants. There could have been a person out in the crowd that was fascinated with JonBenét. They could have watched her at every single beauty competition and followed JonBenét around. Would someone who is fascinated with JonBenét, kill her? It could be, but it is probably unlikely. JonBenét was murdered in her own home and there is little evidence that there was an intruder in the house. Therefore, the evidence must point to John and Patsy Ramsey. Who else could have done it? Could it be an intruder or her parents? It is up to the public to decide on whom they think killed JonBenét. “Three days before JonBenét was killed, the Ramsey’s decided to have a party in celebration of Patsy being in remission of stage four cancer and John was voted local “businessman of the year” (Bellamy 2). During this party, could someone have staked out the house? Many people came to the party so there really is no way of keeping tabs on everyone who showed up. Did the Ramsey’s plan this party just perfectly to make the police and others believe that an intruder could have killed JonBenét? Anyone could have gone about the house and the Ramsey’s probably would never know. Was this part of the Ramsey’s plan to kill JonBenét? The Ramsey’s were heading home from a friend’s party when JonBenét had gone to sleep. Upon arriving at home, it was about 9:30 p.m. They carried JonBenét upstairs to her room where they put her in bed. Not long after putting JonBenét down, John and Patsy went to bed. They were going to be getting up early to go to Lake Michigan (Bellamey 2). Mrs. Ramsey had found something at the bottom of their steps at about 5:00 a.m. As she picked it up, it read as following: “Mr. Ramsey, Listen carefully! We are a group of individuals that represent a small foreign faction. We respect your business but not the country it serves. At this time we have your daughter in our possession. She is safe and unharmed and if you want her to see 1997, you must follow our instructions to the letter. You will withdraw $118, 000.00 from your account. $100, 000 will be in $100 bills and the remaining $18, 000 in $20 bills. Make sure that you bring an adequate size attache to the bank. When you get home you will put the money in a brown paper bag. I will call you between 8 and 10 a.m. tomorrow to instruct you on delivery. The delivery will be exhausting so I advise you to be rested. If we monitor you getting the money early, we might call you early to arrange an earlier delivery of the money and hence a earlier pick up of your daughter. My deviation of my instructions will result in the immediate execution of your daughter. You will also be denied her remains for proper burial. The two gentlemen watching over your daughter do it particularly like you so I advise you not to provoke them.
