I, sit down to write this essay, there are several questions that continue to run through my mind. Crossing the threshold of a protective educational environment, to an independent level I wonder, what do I hope to get out of continuing my education? As a prospective educator, what do I hope to provide my students with? And last, what paths do I need to follow to fulfill my destiny. Like many of my peers and college students, I view the excess education in college as a way to “broaden my horizons” and a way to help me obtain a job that will provide sufficient pay.
