The capital of Laos, or Lao People¡¦s Democratic Republic, is Vientiane. It is in Asia and its size is 236,800 kilo meters. That¡¦s a little bigger than Utah. Laos has a tropical monsoon climate. Temperatures range between 57¢XF and 93¢XF with April as the warmest month, and January as the coolest month. Laos borders Myanmar, Cambodia, China, Thailand, and Vietnam. Japan took over Laos in World War II and France took it back in 1946.
