FOUNDING BROTHERS By: Joseph J. Ellis Alexander Hamilton Alexander Hamilton was a very brilliant man and was a very successful man right up until his death on July 11, 1804. (pg. 20) Hamilton was killed by Aaron Burr when the two of them had a duel. It is said to be the most famous duel in American history. (pg. 20) When Hamilton was in this duel is was kind of like him being in a baseball game and he’s the picture and Burr is the hitter. If Hamilton was to be in a sport it would have to be baseball. Hamilton would be a picture because if you’re the picture you have to be very smart and have confidence in your work and most of all you have to be a great leader because everyone is looking up to you. Hamilton had all of these qualities and used them to the best of his advantage in the political world during his time. Hamilton was said to be a man that was always trying to be proving himself and if you’re a major league baseball player you better be proving yourself or you’re going to lose you position.
