Of Mice and Men character analysis
Friendship Through the bumpy road of life, one thing holds us together; friendship. Friends are a key component to the happiness and success of life. This is displayed in John Stienbeck's novel, Of Mice and Men. George and Lennie are the only true friends in a world full of loneliness and alienation. This proves to be a major component in the gripping story. George looks out for Lennie, protects him on the ranch and, after tragedy strikes, is forced to say a premature good-bye. In the novel, George takes care of Lennie. They provide each other with companionship throughout the story. George always knows the difference between right and wrong, and Lennie is totally dependent upon George for survival. When Lennie gets into trouble in Weed, George finds a way for him to be safe, and out of danger.
