The constitution was not always a sacred document. Over 200 years ago when it was written in 1786 many people did not agree to it. The people wonted a new more powerful government because the last one was not powerful enough. The constitution was ratified after months of debate. In document number one it shows that some people supported ratifying the constitution because in document number one it talks about all the bad thing that are happening before the new constitution was ratified.
