Fantasy Newsletter Vol. 1 Fantasy Football is back for 2003 August 5, 2003 Jimmy Spencer - Associated Press - The NFL (Novato Football League) is back and this year they are operating from a whole new system at www.fantasyfootball.com. The league welcomes back all of last year’s previous owners for the exception of owner Josh Buttafoco -- a man who failed to pay his monetary dues last season. His replacement? An exciting expansion team from Chico, CA owned by Ben Spencer (Team nickname and other information yet to be released, but rumor has it that a lawsuit is waiting in Chico from fellow league owner Mark Twitchell, who fears that Spencer is invading his marketing territory). “I am very excited about the possibilities of joining this new league,” said an optimistic Ben Spencer. “There are some great teams in this league with excellent talent and knowledge of the game. The long history of this league is what attracted me, but I’m not here to make friends. I am going to make an impact in my very first season go Niners.” New owner Ben Spencer failed to mention the fact that he has zero fantasy football experience and will likely find the cellar of his respective division at season’s end.
