A reason given in some books at least for playing only premium hands from early position is that a call can set off an avalanche of calls from players behind you. So, if this is happening in a particular game, surely JT suited would be a decent hand to call with from early position? I know it hasn't been considered a premium hand since the mid 70s or something.
