“Why High Schools Should be Smaller” In the Newsweek article “Why High Schools Should be Smaller,” talks about the advantages of smaller high schools across America. The main point Newsweek had, was how many more kids graduate from the smaller high schools, compared to the bigger city high schools. The drop out rate in the smaller high schools is much smaller compared to the larger high schools. The size Newsweek is talking about is around 400 to 500 students per a school. That gives each grade about 100 students, and a much better student to teacher ratio. One person that is trying to help get more smaller schools across America is Bill Gates.
