Homosexuality is looked upon a bit differently in America than in Europe, For Example. In the United States Homosexuality is treated more like an illness, people who have it are almost like outcasts from the rest of society. Homosexuality has long been a part of our culture, but they have been hidden. Now, there are many gay and lesbian organizations out there fighting for their rights. Americans who are not gay do not really associate themselves or their children to Homosexual behavior.
