God Gives But Does He Receive Good Morning, If you would please open your Bibles to Romans 12: 6-16. This morning I am going to talk to you about something anyone can do although some of us choose not to. Something that determines how you live, something that Abraham did, as well as Steven, Jeremiah and all of the other God fearing characters in the Bible. Something that all of the Veterans here today have done. It is a small thing that goes a long way, it also determines who you are and the kind of personality traits that you have. Something that Mr. Webster defines as –to prove adequate or satisfactory – to give service or respect to And the one that fits best is – to comply with the commands or demands of Basically it all boils down to giving or doing something for someone. All of this has to do with service. Now when some people think of that word, the thought usually starts out with them laying on a sandy beach with no one around until they snap their fingers and here comes this man with a tuxedo on and a silver platter in his hand is your choice of drink. That’s when we wake up and find yourself back in the real world, and you realize that this could never happen because even the server would have it made in that picture. But the more realistic people hear the word and they begin to become scared that they will have to do something. Let’s see what God says about SERVICE. ROMANS 12: 6-10 When I read these words they seem priceless, for they teach a very valuable lesson. What Paul is telling us is that we are to serve God, no matter how but to use what talents God has given you to praise, honor, and worship him. Here is a little phrase that I want you to remember, write it down do whatever you have to but if you remember this phrase and if you do then God has done something this morning, God receives from whom he gives, Take this phrase and use it to make decisions, and when you are asked to do a service you will think twice before you say no.
