Why move? Companies and Corporations are being forced to find ways to remain competitive on international markets. Outsourcing has enormous potential, and is cost effective. According to the Baird Research group, while most Companies and Corporations have not begun to the move to foreign countries yet, most are planning it into their future IT budget. (Baird p.14) With a pool of well-educated people overseas, and a cheap labor cost. Companies have calculated the benefits and expenses and are ready to move ahead with offshoring large amounts of their work, resulting in a 60 percent push of large software companies’ work to India and elsewhere. (Hoffman, page 4) While companies can outsource for cheaper labor, there are other international issues. American Taxation has caused many corporations to offshore merely to remain competitive with other international corporations. American has one of the highest corporate taxes in the developed world.
