Labor Union is a group of individuals working together to achieve shared job-related goals, such as higher pay, shorter working hours, more job security, greater benefits, or better working conditions. Unions emerged due to the higher power as a group rather then individual. Managers used to treat their workers poorly. It used to be that nobody cared about workers, and their well being as long as job would be done. Workers used to work long hours, with low pay, and little benefits.
