Scarface
Scarface I have never seen the movie Scarface before I started this project, so I really didn’t know what to expect from it. I knew it was a gangster movie, but had no idea how in depth the movie would be. There are many things about this movie that people probably don’t notice when they watch it for the first time. The way the camera is set, the music and costumes, and also props and characters. These qualities make this movie what it has become today. Tony Montana, played by Al Pacino, was forced to go to the United States by Fidel Castro with his partner Manny Ray, played by Steven Bauer, and 125,000 other Cubans. Tony and Manny meet a man named Frank Lopez, who is one of the largest drug dealers in Miami, and start working for him after they kill four Columbians for $5000 and a bunch of cocaine. Montana realizes that he doesn’t want to work under Lopez, he wants to take his place at the top of the drug realm. Tony and Manny decide to kill Frank and take a deal with a man from Bolivia that Frank had turned down earlier. They build a large cocaine corporation and now are making 75 to 100 million dollars on every shipment that they get from Bolivia. The Bolivian drug lord gives Tony an assignment to kill a reporter from the United States, Tony holds back from this assignment due to the man’s wife and children in the same car he is assigned to blow up.
