September 30, 2003 MGT 2393-010 Job Analysis Assignment Outline: The questions that I am asking pertain to the important aspects of the individual’s job. They will cover supervision, leadership, working conditions, infrastructure, and general information. The person to be interviewed is Ben Abbey, a supervisor at my local Pharma Plus store. The questions are listed below. 1. If one were to change positions, what kind of reorganization, reassignment of work, and new functions would a new employee have to learn? 2. What are the tasks being performed, and how long does it take you to complete each task in a percentage value? 3. To whom or to what is the task directed? 4. Who reviews the tasks? 5. How often and for what reasons are the tasks reviewed? 6. If your position involves leadership, supervisory or management responsibilities, which description would best fit? a) Assigns, trains, observes, schedules or reviews others work b) Plans, staffs, evaluates and directs the work of employees c) Delegates command to carry out work of employees to lower supervisors or managers 7. What kind of hazards, risks or discomforts exists on the job or in the work environment? 8. What kind of machines or equipment is used regularly in the work of your position? – 9. What kind of minimum experience or education do you feel a person needs to start in this position? 10. For what purpose, with whom and how frequently are contacts made with the public, other employees or with officials in this position. 11.
