Theodore Kacynski was a terrorist who expressed his radical beliefs by killing other Americans with explosives. For two decades, the mysterious “Unabomber” had targeted scientists and technology professionals with bombs hidden in mailed packages, disguised books, or pieces of scrap wood. He killed 3 people and injured 23 during the years 1978-1996. Kacynski was a brilliant mathematician who was a leftist, which meant that his political values were emotional or extreme. Above all, leftism is driven by the need for power as well as a need for rebellion.
