The sea surrounding it affects Malta’s weather and climate. The temperature is very constant, the annual average being 18ºC (64ºF) and the monthly averages ranging from 12º C (54ºF) to 31ºC (88ºF). The winds are extremely strong and the most common are the cool north-westerly (majjistral), the dry north-easterly and the hot humid south-easterly The relative humidity is consistently high and rarely falls below 40%. It will never snow in Malta. Annual rainfall in Malta is rather low about 600mm.
