Sandra Cisneros' "Woman Hollering Creek"
In a formal reading of Sandra Cisneros’s “Woman Hollering Creek” by Hamilton Burris, Cisneros considers her story feminine. However, the critic states that the opposite is true. The point argues that there are many different key factors to support the statement. First of all, the primary character, Cleofila, her husband is a busy part of her life. He is very masculine and sometimes called macho. Also, there is no feminine identity for Cleofilas to relate to her neighbors.
