On any given day one Australian in four stops off at a fast-food joint. Macka’s and BK have become so ubiquitous that, last year Americans spent a staggering $110bil on this feeding habit. But does this mean industrial minced “beef” is risk-free? Hell no! And this is why the government must enforce stricter control on the fast food industry. More than ever the mechanized cattle and meat-packaging industry is exposed to risk of infection by virulent pathogens including E.
