The aspect of fitness I have chosen is cardiorespiratory fitness. At the beginning of the training session, before I put on my equipment, I take part in a twenty minute circuit training programme. I used a serious of exercises specific to cardiorespiratory fitness, such as squat thrusts, side-to-side jumps and sprinting on the spot. Each of the activities lasts for twenty seconds and had a thirty second rest period between them. After I had dressed in my protective equipment, I used Fartlek Training to help improve my cardiorespiratory fitness. This involves skating round the court continuously at a slow pace with quick bursts down one side of the hall.
