No Child Left Behind
The No Child Left Behind Plan When the No Child Left Behind Plan first came about everyone thought it was an excellent plan. Now that the plan is in effect, we are now starting to see the flaws in it. The No Child Left Behind Plan is a plan that raised standards in elementary and secondary schools by adding standardize test to the schools’ criteria. The standardize tests determines weather a student is promoted or retained and on the high school level whether a student receives a diploma or not. It also determines the amount of government funding that a school will receive because of the school’s overall score. A flaw in the plan is that public schools are losing students and funds and parents, students, and others argue that standardize tests cannot measure a student overall performance.
