The top of the tower was no more than ten meters from me, through the powerful distortion of a lens built by fear and trepidation, the summit seemed insurmountably distant. My fist step onto the ladder did nothing to assuage my uncertainties, the coarse sandpaper matting grinding against the water-softened skin on the bottom of my feet. As the climbing ensued I began to look around the area, noticing with mild amusement how ridiculous and out of place the large blue splotch appeared within the spider-webbing gridlock of traffic surrounding the facility.
