Participants- I decided to choose an opportunity sample to pick my participants for this study. The best way to avoid bias in sampling is to take a simple random sample from the target population. Opportunity samples are best Materials- I had two chairs, one for the ‘participant’ and one for the ‘looker.’ It was set in the common room in a quiet corner at an off peak time, so there weren’t many other students disturbing the participants to cause any bias or extraneous variables.
