The story is about a six-year-old named Benjamin MacDonald. Ben had a odd relationship with his family, but mostly with his Father in the sense that he did not talk or communicate in any way with his Father. He was a very shy boy who loved animals and could communicate with them. One day Ben was watching a bird get his prey (a mouse). Ben was just exploring and looking at the bones when he heard a loud squeaky voice.
