A Midsummer Night’s Dream In the romantic comedy entitled “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, the author, William Shakespeare, uses a very surrealistic or unrealistic tone. He accomplishes this tone in the dialogue by using prose, blank verse, and rhyme uniquely with each different set of characters. For instance, the actors that are going to perform for the King have all their lines on the form of prose, except for the occasional speech that rhymes. The first set of characters that I’ll address are the mortal King and Queen and all the other mortals in the play with the exception of the actors of the interlude.
