Many components are required to make this world worth living for. One important element is love. It cannot be seen or created but the magnitude of kinship is worth more than any riches can bring to man. Although society today has been so prospers in wealth, the most important element missing is this strong bonding. This unconditional feeling is what keeps people living. In the play Hamlet, William Shakespeare discusses the different types of love that is seen in each character. The impact of what love can do is tremendous. It affects each person differently in many different ways. In order to decipher the positives and negatives of each character, Shakespeare explores the relationship between different characters. One of the most magnificently bizarre relationships that can be seen in Hamlet is the love that is between the queen and her old and new husband. It seems as though Queen Gertrude have a strong connection with her old husband, Old Hamlet, but this seemingly everlasting companionship is not conditional. After the death of Old Hamlet, Queen Gertrude sheds much tears but days afterward, she decides to marry his brother Claudius for her own desire. Most often parents get marry and have children to solidify the existing love between them, yet the affection that Gertrude shows seems fake and untrue. This parental love is supposed to set a good example for her son Hamlet; however, because it is not positive, it causes much insanity in him.
