Basic Laboratory Techniques Introduction: This lab is to teach the students how to start off using the many different tools and supplies in the lab. Some of the tools that were used are a balance, graduated cylinders, Bunsen burner, and other instruments. In this lab you will learn how to get the weights of different objects and the boiling point of water with different liquids. Experiment: The experiment consists of a 50 ml and a 10 ml graduated cylinder. Both graduated cylinders were weighed when empty. Then the 50ml cylinder was filled with 10ml of water and weighed on the balance.
