The cultures that I compared are the Kohistani of Pakistan and The Okavango Delta Peoples of Botwana.

Both the Bugakwe and Xanekwe people live in small groups centered in extended family relationships. These families move sporadically, whenever there is depletion of game animals, they also camp together for long periods of time, sometimes up to several years before going their separate ways. The Dxeriku, Hambukush and Wayeyi people live in short-term housing with patrilocal extended family settlements. The Dxeriku and Hambukushu people have chiefs that are called paramount chiefs. It is up to these chiefs to lead and guide using the correct authority over all others for that specific people. It has been only in recent years that the Botswana people have had a chief. In contrast, the Kohistani live in a village where they're family lives close by all the time. They have many brothers, both blood and not called Ja. Ja, the Kohistani word for brother, refers not only to a male sharing the same father but one sharing the same paternal grandfather as well. Kohistanis think that all male descended through men from a common ancestor are brothers in a sense, and unified as a group against outsiders. This is a patrilineal descent group. The core values defined as, those values especially promoted by a particular culture, of the people of Botswana have are that of patience and skill in many things. Patience is important when learning how to hunt and track different animals from the dry savannah down to the lush green forests. Skill is important when learning how to hunt. A man may be in his late 20’s before he learns how to hunt with any real skill and he may be in his late 30’s before is has mastered his skill. While the Botswana has a strong and positive core values the Kohistani have one that is the exact opposite. The Kohistani have a core value called Mar dushmani, which has a literal translation of death enmity. It is very important for any injustices that one Kohistani may believe that they have received to be able to take revenge on the offender. An example of this is that it is ok for a man to kill another man for looking at his wife. They believe that by looking at a mans wife for too long, you are being disrespectful and thus you have done an injustice to their family and now you get to die.
