1. F I T N E S S Fitness is muscular endurance, flexibility, body composition, speed, power, agility, balance, reaction time, co-ordination and strength. Fitness refers to the physical component of health. Fitness is best defined as the capability of the heart, blood vessels, lungs and muscles to function at optimal efficiency. Factors which may affect someone’s fitness are diet and nutrition, rest, exercise and the use of drugs. These can be controlled by the individual through their lifestyle habits.
