The awful truth Sal vs. Bmw The essay is about a man called Karl Sommer, he was an SS officer working in the economic and administrative main office in 1942 .This man was responsible for giving companies access to prisoners for slave labor. After the war was interviewed about which companies used Nazi slave labor. He just said that the firms had to filled the prerequisites then go in the camp and chose to take some of the poor people to exploit them for profit . Sommer made a list of different firms that got slave they are: 1) The first one was BMW they used 25,000-30,000 slave laborers, they were paid 20 cents an hour. 2) Krupp the maker of washing machines , coffee makers, and Nazi gas chamber. Used 70,000 slave labors in factories making armaments for the Nazis .
