What makes you the greatest hockey player? Is it how many goals you scored this season? Is it the amount of awards you have collected over the years? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I dub you a complete and utter moron, because you can’t just take into account obvious things like more MVP trophies, you need to look at the big picture. The definition of what makes a player great has been debated over the years, Gretzky had that natural instinct and sense that made him look like he was born playing hockey, Hull had the best slap shot the game has ever seen, and Howe had the brutality of a goon, and the shot of a sniper. These men are all great true, but what about the players of today? The title of best forward, for this generation of hockey players is basically a battle between two players: Jaromir Jagr and Pavel Bure These two players have been around the league for quite awhile, they have seen the legends all the way to their last games and have learned all they could from them.
