Gandhi believed that in order to get independence from Britain, India would need to use peaceful, non-violent and non-cooperation methods. Many people agreed with Gandhi but there were also a lot of people who disagreed. The method worked with some things but there were some things that were just too much for one person to handle. For the most part Gandhi’s technique worked. When Muslin and Hindu people were rioting Gandhi decided to fast. At first it didn’t help at all. People continued to fight and they didn’t care what anyone had to say as long as their “enemies” were dying.
