Nobel Gases Also known as inert gases. They are the last group, i.e. group 8, in the period table. As they belong to the same group they have the same physical and chemical properties. They have a stable electronic configuration by having an octet in their outermost shell, under normal condition they are odorless, colorless, tasteless monatomic gases. All of them has a closed subshell, a p subshell which is tightly bound (for helium, it has only s orbital). They are chemically inert and so don't form chemical bonds with other atoms. They are only VanderWaals forces of attraction between them. As they don't have have any valence electrons they have have high ionization energies and poor conductivity.
